Eliza Palter is a Texas-born director and producer based in Brooklyn, NY, and the Founder and Artistic Director of New Relic Theatre, a company dedicated to staging works that honor the vividness of the human experience — ancient and modern, well-remembered and near-forgotten.

Recent credits include Manfred (New Relic Theatre @ The New York Society Library), To Tell A Story About The Earth (Franklin Performing Arts Company), In The Mouth of the Beast (World Premiere, New Relic Theatre), Antigone (NRT), The Nest (The Quickening Room), The Convent of Pleasure (NRT), and LEAN OUT (Union Hall). She has worked with LubDub Theatre Company (NYC), Theatre J. (DC), The Transmigration Festival of New Works (Cincinnati), Svandovo Divadlo (Prague), and Cherry Lane Theatre (NYC). She is a 2026 Directors Lab North Fellow.

She has a background in both performance and anthropology and centers her work in how humans communicate, usually unsuccessfully.
